Elvira
Elvira was born on January 1, 2007 and brought home in February of that year. Elvira has always been full of energy, running and jumping, and playing with her beloved ball. Elvira is always the first one at the door when we come home, wagging her tail and running in circles.
We found out that Elvira had luxating patella in her back two legs when she was very young. This past October, Elvira’s back leg began to give her pain because of her condition. Dr. Daigle and his staff operated on Elvira and the operation was a success. Unfortunately, Elvira thought she was back to normal and pulled her stitches causing her knee to shift back to where it was. Dr. Daigle repeated the surgery and installed a pin in her leg and agreed to monitor Elvira at the pet hospital for two weeks. Elvira’s second surgery was successful and Elvira came back home two weeks after the second surgery.
All appeared well for Elvira and her rehabilitation was proceeding according to schedule. In early January, she started to limp and not eat. Elvira found herself back in Dr Daigle office and it was determined that her pin was causing a problem. Dr Daigle removed the pin and almost immediately, Elvira was back to normal.
Today, Elvira is wagging her tail and running in circles when we come to the door, happy as ever to see us. Dr. Daigle and his staff at Premier Animal Hospital worked hard to ensure Elvira’s well being and we can’t do enough to express our gratitude to Dr. Daigle and his staff.
